DONATIONS

• The Hawk Hustle for Hermantown schools raised $25,320.42 due to participation by K-5 students, parents, community members and businesses. Mr. Schmitz, Mr. Kaldor and Mr. Olson promised the elementary kids that if they raised $25,000, they would sleep on the roof of the school. It brings their grand total to $206,000, which is enough money to build a new playground for the school.

GOOD PEOPLE

• Allison and Kealey Pank of Duluth Troop 4073 have earned the Girl Scout's Silver Award. For their project, they held a "Walk for Sight" and raised almost $8,000 toward a vision screener for the Duluth Public Schools.
