Mallory Kaye Wessel of Eagan, MN, and Brenton Scott Tuominen, of Duluth, MN, were married Saturday, November 18, 2017, at Surly Brewing, Co. in Minneapolis, MN. The bride is the daughter of Dale and Sue Wessel of Eagan, MN. The groom is the son of Kyle and Robbin Tuominen of Duluth, MN.
Brother of the groom, Bradley Tuominen (of Minneapolis), was best man. Nicole Young (of Los Angeles, CA), was maid of honor. The brides brother, Dana Wessel (of Minneapolis), who became a Universal Life minister for the occasion, officiated the ceremony which included a reading about dinosaurs from the godmother of the bride, Delancy Carroll (of Cary, NC), and a beer unity ceremony.
The bride graduated from Eastview High School in 2001 and from the University of Minnesota in 2005 and 2007 with a BA in History and a M.Ed. in Social Studies Education. She currently works for the global education non profit, World Savvy.
The groom graduated from Duluth East High School in 2002 and from the University of Minnesota in 2006 with a BS in Math and Physics. After nearly a decade as a math teacher in Minneapolis Public Schools, the groom followed his passion and now works as a Brewer for Surly Brewing, Co.
The couple met on the popular dating app, Tinder, in December of 2015 and became engaged in May of 2017. The couple resides in Northeast, Minneapolis, enjoying all the neighborhood has to offer. A honeymoon in Norway, Sweden and Finland is planned for May of 2018.
