Tower man arraigned on meth charges
A 49-year-old Tower man was arraigned Thursday on multiple felony drug charges.
Robert Yernatich is being charged with first degree sale of meth, first degree possession of meth, possession of ammunition by a felon and possession of a stun gun by a felon. All are felony charges.
According to a press release, member of the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force executed a narcotics search warrant at the Black Bear Cafe in Tower Tuesday. During the course of the search, members of task force located approximately 128 grams of meth and a large amount of cash.
According to Sgt. Luke Hendrickson, who is assigned to the task force, Yernatich lives in a residence behind the cafe, which is owned by his family.
Yernatich has a long record of drug and driving while intoxicated charges stemming as far back as 1997. At the time of his arrest, Yernatich was on supervised probation through 2022.
Yernatich’s next court appearance is set for Aug. 6 in Virginia. Bail was set at $300,000.
