YMCA to host free Election Day child care
The Duluth Area Family YMCA is offering free child care services on Election Day.
Parents and caregivers can drop their children off at the downtown YMCA branch, 302 W. First St., for up to two hours from 8:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 4-7 p.m. Tuesday.
“We know that one reason people may not vote is due to lack of child care and we want to ensure that those who want to, are able to make their voices heard,” Sara Cole, CEO of the Duluth Area Family YMCA, said in a news release Saturday.
The YMCA is also hosting election parties with free music and food on Monday from 3-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
