Reader's View: Please turn it down, Hairball
Leave it to Duluth to kick off our most sacred national holiday, the Fourth of July, with a concert at Bayfront Festival Park featuring Hairball. The band played at such a high-decibel level on the evening of July 3 that it could be heard two miles away — in my closed home with my own music playing at a modest volume.
Please, whoever you are who decides how our public parks can be used, move these pretenders inside the arenas and let the rest of us enjoy a balmy night filled with the sounds of nature. Loudness is not a musical virtue.
