Wolves’ Butler undergoes minor hand surgery
Minnesota Timberwolves standout Jimmy Butler underwent a procedure on his right hand earlier this week, the club announced Thursday.
The Timberwolves didn't divulge what type of procedure Butler underwent but described it as "elective." The procedure was performed on Tuesday.
The team said Butler has already resumed offseason activities.
The four-time All-Star averaged 22.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.9 assists in 59 games last season. He suffered a right knee injury in February that required surgery that caused him to miss 17 games.
The 28-year-old Butler reportedly turned down a four-year, $110 million extension from the Timberwolves earlier this offseason.
